Bears Hit Hail Mary At Buzzer To Stun Commanders
The NFL Minute: Bears Stun Commanders In Week 8 showdown It was an emotional rollercoaster with huge plays, and tough defenses as the Bears won on a Hail Mary.
It was a strong start for the Commanders, who led 9-0 at halftime. The defense was outstanding, holding the Bears to 11 yards of offense and creating several takeaways. But the Bears battled back and slowly cut into to lead in the second half.
A significant portion of the comeback was led by Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. He was calm, collected and accurate moving the ball down field through the air to his receivers. The Bears also got a ground attack rolling, led by D’Andre Swift.
Down late to the Bears, Williams confidently led an awe-inspiring charge as time wound down on Saturday. In a long-yardage scenario, he fired off and overshot his reciever into the endzone. Tight end Cole Kmet pounced on the ball amidst a pile of players to seal an alternate victory for the Bears.
Defenders’ defense — terrific for most of the game couldn’t save it in the end. A missed tackles and defensive breakdowns helped the Bears to pull within reach.
It was a big win for the Bears, who saw plenty of positives this season. How unpredictable the NFL could be but, most of you would know that when it comes to anything in life never give up. Here is why The Commanders can do just that and the other reasons they may need to go back to the drawing board.
Moving forward with the NFL season, neither of these teams is promised to have a cake walk. Now, the Bears will try to capitalize on that and work their way into contention in a stacked NFC North. The Commanders, meanwhile will hope to reverse course and stay alive for a postseason spot
