A Promising Career
The bazooka LB Josh Uche has made his presence quickly felt in the NFL. Uche began his journey to the professional football stage at University of Michigan where he was born on September 18,1998 in Miami,Florida.
College Career
During his time at Michigan, Uche displayed a high level of athleticism and versatility by playing nearly everywhere on the defense. He was a solid asset for shore up the defense, with its ability to rush the passer and drop in coverage as well as stop run. The other place he made a statement was in Indianapolis, where his strong showing caught the attention of NFL scouts and only cemented what people thought could be his first-round status.
NFL Draft and Early Career
The New England Patriots picked Uche in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He had an adjustment period to playing in the NFL, but became more comfortable as his rookie year wore on and emerged as a key piece of what was otherwise a stout defense for New England. Speed, agility and a nose for the quarterback made Uche an elite pass-rusher.

When 2024 came, the Patiots pulled off a surprising move that sent Uche to Kansas City Chiefs. This trade opened a new phase of Uche’s career to play for one of the most successful winning teams in recent history with impressive defensive legs and Super Bowl ring glory.
Uche’s Impact on the Chiefs
The Chiefs defense got a big jolt from Uche’s arrival in Kansas City. The Saints success without him on the field has been largely due to their ability to get pressure and create turnovers. Uche is only going to get better as he continues to develop in the league, and could be one of the best pass-rushers that enter once all is said and done.
